I really had no plan whatsoever when I was doing this page. The only thing I had going were the photos, the choice of papers, the text, and some idea that I wanted to end up with a "junky" effect. So I just stuck things down almost randomly... the whole time wondering about how I was going to pull the whole look together. I was about 80% done and then I decided I absolutely hated it, and the truth is, I so wanted to trash it (which is something I *almost* never do). That was when I decided to go with the "tried and true" methods which have worked for many of my last few pages - the strip of lace, the doodled frame. Whew, I think I may have managed to pull this one off.
It's all very experimental, but these "hits and misses" do take you a step forward in helping you "feel" through your creative process as you're trying something new - figuring out what works and what doesn't. And so much of the creation of works of art is about "feelling" it, isn't it?
Sharpening your sense of what could possibly be beautiful.
Opening your eyes to the intricacies of creation.
Marvelling at a God who creates all thing by His own hand in millions of colours, shades, tones, and textures.
Inspiration is really everywhere - and rightly so, when it has been spun out of the imagination of One so infinite and pure.
Bren, love this posting! I love the way you state it in the last 6 sentences. Gave me a different perspective of creation, per say.
