Joel did his first poop in the toilet yesterday - now that's really something to shout about! I haven't been pushing very hard to get him out of diapers and into big-boy briefs. I've wanted to make sure he was really ready. Now and then we try to coax him into trying the potty, but nothing too major. I'm a believer that if you do it when they're really, really ready and without any pressure, they'll get onto it just like that. Yesterday was a good sign. A milestone. Yes, even poop in the toilet bowl is a milestone event!

Later in the afternoon we went to the doctor's to get the boys their jabs. Joel went first, and we explained to him what was going to happen and how he was going to feel after. He took it like a brave soldier - not a cry, a frown, or even a flinch! I was very, very surprised. And impressed. This guy's got more in him than I dare to believe. We gave him lots of praise and got him to encourage Joash when he took his jab. He's a brave little trooper too - it took all of 2 seconds of crying for him to completely get over it. I loved it! I was such a proud mommy! To reward the boys for their courage, we bought them CARS. And then laer, to reward ourselves for being such great parents (ok, not really), we watched CARS the movie. It was great! A tad long, but very clever, funny, touching at times, and throroughly enjoyable. I won't say more... just go and watch it if you haven't!

yay you're back in action! glad to know the eye's healing well.

Hey! Sure is a big milestone, finally being relieved from messy diapers! Woohoo.
Have to laugh at the photo though with the tractor though considering the topic of your blog entry....

Somehow i can't help but feel that the little chap will grow up to be a handsome young man... haha! Call me prejudiced but i personally prefer boys to girls.. :)
