Sorry this took so long - I've been busy with a new little venture. You know how it is - when inspiration hits, you have to ride with it, right? I'll have more to share when things are a bit more firmed up.
In the meantime, here is, as promised, a little information about how I bound these books. It's a really quick and easy technique (that is why it's not the most durable). The best part is that it doesn't require any special equipment, and just about anyone can do it. This particular method of putting a book together is called Perfect Binding, and you can learn a lot about how it is done by viewing this handy tutorial: Make Your Own Photo Journals and Notebooks. This lady also puts together by hand some really pretty photo journals of her own - very beautiful and gets you thinking about what you could do with those thousands of photos sitting idle in your hard drive!
I'm still perfecting (watch that pun!) the technique - unfortunately I've already experienced pages coming apart from the binding - so I still have some work to do. Yikes!
