What software do you use for your digital work?
I use a combination of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Many of the earlier illustrations are line drawings, which were scanned and then coloured in Photoshop. For web layouts I use Homesite (html editor) together with Topstyle (Stylesheet editor).

How do you create your illustrations?
In the beginning I started by drawing with pen and paper, then progressed to using a mouse and the Freeform Pen Tool in Photoshop. Now that I'm more comfortable with Illustrator's ways, I use a Wacom Intuous Tablet and a good amount of imagination and inspiration. Milo and chocolate (although I wouldn't recommend consuming them both together) sometimes help, as does being very observant about the colours, textures and patterns that are everywhere.

Who are your favourite illustrators?
Over the last year I've learnt to appreciate and experiment with different styles of illustration and design. A few of my creative crushes: Annika Smajic, Keri Smith, Luc Latulippe, Jordi Labanda, Jason Munger, Marguerite Sauvage, Quentin Blake, and of course, the inimitable Loobylu.

Can I use your illustrations/designs?
No, but if something catches your fancy, contact me and we can talk about it.

What script do you use to create your online portfolio?
This site is fully powered by MovableType. A little bit complicated, but nothing else comes quite as close.
